[여꿘] yeogwon passport

These twenty words cover a trip to Korea from start to finish: the passport and boarding pass at the airport, immigration, a hotel check-in, a map for sightseeing and a souvenir to take home. You will hear most of them at counters, so they are useful both to read and to say aloud. Many are Sino-Korean words built from short syllables, for example 여권 (passport) and 예약 (reservation), which makes them easy to recognise once you learn a few syllables. At Korean hotels, check-in is usually in the afternoon and check-out before noon, and many airports have a free tourist information desk with English-speaking staff. Learn these words and your first day in Korea will be much smoother.

Ms. Hana

Say the whole sentence you will need at the counter, such as '예약했어요' (I have a reservation), three times out loud before your flight.
